Description
Yukon Point 10×42 Binoculars.
The Yukon Point 10×42 Binoculars will satisfy the most demanding users. It is a device that fits into all modern binoculars trends from housing to optical and mechanical solutions.
Yukon Point 10×42 Binoculars are compact and lightweight. It uses an internal focus mechanism from which all external components, often exposed to mechanical damage or dirt, are eliminated. The housing of the binoculars is made of light metal alloys. It is durable and resistant to damage and is covered with a pleasant to the touch veneer that provides a firm grip.
The binoculars are fully waterproof, it meets the requirements of the IPX7 waterproofing class, which means that it can withstand up to half an hour’s immersion in water up to 1 m deep. Thanks to the steam-free nitrogen filling, all-optical components inside are protected against fogging.
Despite its metal construction, the binoculars are characterized by their low weight of 640 g for their class. Interestingly, in Point models, the lens caps have magnetic properties and can be easily attached to the housing when tilted. This is a very practical solution that does not interfere with observation.
The optical path of the binoculars uses roof prisms made of small size BaK4 glass and all optically active surfaces of the lenses and prisms are covered with Yukon’s multilayer FMC-type reflective coatings. These are known under the trade name Yukon True Colour™. With True Colour™ coatings, the device delivers an unprecedented bright, yet contrasting image with natural colours.
The culmination of the Point 10×42 model is a twist-up eyecup, allowing you to set the appropriate distance to the eye during observation. The relatively large 16 mm distance between the exit pupil of the binoculars and the eyepiece means that the binoculars can be successfully used by those wearing corrective glasses.
